Kelly Diane Malaer, 62

Kelly Diane Malaer, 62, of Santa Anna, Texas was called to the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 5:33 pm at Coleman County Medical Center.

Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Sally Fleming officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Anna Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. The family will receive friends for visitation Monday from 6:00 till 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.

Kelly was born October 19, 1956 in Abilene, Texas to Bruce and Sandra James Cammack. She was raised in Santa Anna where she attended schools and graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1975. On August 8, 1975 Kelly married Steven Glen Malaer and they celebrated 42 years of marriage.. Kelly was a 1994 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Howard College School of Nursing.

Kelly spent 24 years as a registered nurse, practicing in the intensive care unit of Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her soulmate, Steven Glen Malaer on February 12, 2018. She is survived by her son, Steven Robert & wife Kristin Malaer And two granddaughters, Allison and Emily all of Holly Springs, North Carolina; Mother and step father Sandra and Robert Johnson of Mena, Arkansas; Mother-in-law June Hawkins of Albany, Texas.

Kelly would like to thank her friends, family and healthcare providers and Santa Anna Meals on Wheels for making possible for her to stay in the comfort of her own home during her illness.
