Theft Reports Included in Latest Sheriff’s Department Blotter

Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Department report was released to the media on Thursday morning, August 1.  This covers calls from July 29 to July 31.

On July 29, 2019, a Deputy was dispatched to CR 197 in Bangs.  This was in regards to a refrigerator being dumped on the side of the road.  A report was made.

On Monday, July 29, a Deputy had a white 2001 Acura towed from South US 377 and FM 586.  A report was made.

On Tuesday, July 30, a Lieutenant was dispatched to Burney Drive the Old Oak Revival.  This was in regards to burglary of a building.  Several cases that contained various tools were taken.  There are no suspects to list at this time.

On July 30, a Deputy spoke to a man about missing/stolen items from a previous reported incident on North 279.  Information was gathered and a report was made.

On July 30, Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance not in progress at Avenue C in Brownwood.  A woman called to report her son had assaulted her.  Information was gathered for a report and the woman voluntarily left the residence.

On Tuesday, July 30, at 12:48 hours, a Deputy was dispatched to County Road 382 in Early.  This was in regards to found narcotics.  Upon arrival the Deputy contacted a man who said he located the narcotics on his property.  After further investigation, a report was taken.

On July 30, a Deputy responded to 13800 block of County Road 132.  This was for a report of a truck hitting goats.  A woman called to report a black pickup hit five (5) of her goats as her ranch hand was crossing the road with them.  Information was gathered for an information report.

On July 31, a Deputy met with a man at the Law Enforcement Center for a report of harassment.  After speaking with the man, it was determined a Terroristic Threat had possibly occurred.  The man reported his soon-to-be ex-wife had threatened to kill him.  Information was gathered and a report made for further information.
