OBITUARIES

Billie Joy Wheatley, of Santa Anna, passed from this life on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 3:38 pm at the age of 87 years in Abilene Regional Medical Center.

Services will be Monday (7/29) at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kathy Monroe officiating. Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday from 5:00 till 6:30 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.

Billie was born November 22, 1931 in Whon, Texas to Riley Edward and Rita Mae Smith McFarlin. She attended elementary school in Whon and completed her high school education in Killeen. On August 5, 1950 Billie married George Daniel Wheatley in Whon, Texas and they celebrated 68 years of marriage. George preceded Billie in death in January, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Santa Anna where she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Billie was a Nutritionist with Ranger Park Nursing Home until her retirement.

Grandson – Christopher Wheatley of Santa Anna, Texas

Numerous Cousins

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, son – Jimmy Wheatley and sister – Quanita McFarlin
