Early City Council Schedules Special Meeting for Monday

Brownwood News – The Early City Council will hold a Special Called Meeting at 12:00 pm Monday, July 29.   The agenda includes a closed session to discuss property and economic development and consideration of the proposed tax rate.  The complete agenda is posted below.

A. Call to order, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance
B. Recess for lunch. (Within Council chambers, quorum will be present but no Council action will be taken)
C. Reconvene into Open Session at 12:30 p.m.
D. Consideration of the minutes of regular meeting held on July 9, 2019.
E. Citizen’s comments.

F. Matters of New Business
1. Consideration for approval to enter into an access and parking easement and maintenance agreement between City of Early, Brown County Water Improvement District and High Point Asset Management LLC. By: Tony Aaron
G. Executive Session in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 551, Texas Government Code:
1. Section 551.072, Deliberation regarding Real Property.
2. Section 551.087, Deliberation regarding Economic Development.
H. Reconvene into Open Session and consider action, if any, on items discussed in Executive Session:
1. Consider approval of Resolution 2019-EDR06, approving Municipal Development funding requests from High Point Asset Management LLC.
2. Consider approval of Ordinance 2019-07, for a permanent abandonment and road closure of approximately 482 feet of Old Fort Worth Highway as described in survey completed by King Land Surveying.
3. Consider approval of Resolution 2019-R05, authorizing a 380 agreement between City of Early and CJ Real Estate LLC to include the sell of city owned property, approximately 0.703 acres out of Henry Kraber Survey No. 19, Abstract No. 584.
4. Consider approval of Resolution 2019-EDR07, approving Municipal Development funding requests from CJ Real Estate LLC.
I. Discuss and consider proposed tax rate for 2019/2020 fiscal year (Take a record vote and schedule public hearings). By: Tony Aaron
