Illegal Dumping Reports Being Investigated in County

Brownwood News – The following calls for service were received by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department this week:

On Sunday, July 7, 2019, at approximately 1413 hours, a deputy was dispatched to County Road 320.  This was for a welfare check due to there being a possible assault that had happened the previous night on July 6.  A report was made.

On Monday, July 8, 2019, a deputy met with a man in regards to illegal dumping.  Eight tires had been dumped on County Road 110.  A report was generated for Illegal Dumping and there are no suspects to list.

On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at 07:52 hours, a deputy was dispatched to FM 3021 and FM 2632.  This was in regard to illegal dumping.  Upon arrival, the deputy located items in the ditch.  There is no suspect at this time.  A report was taken.

On Sunday, July 7, a deputy spoke with a man in regards to two of his vehicles being broken into and items being stolen.  A report was made.

On July 10, at about 19:56 hours, a deputy responded to Hammer Dr. for a burglary report.  The incident is still being investigated.

On July 10, at approximately 22:33 hours, a deputy attempted to arrest a wanted male in the 8700 block of County Road 215.  The incident is still being investigated.

On Wednesday, July 10, at 14:44 hours, a deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center.  This was for a walk-in regarding criminal mischief.  The deputy spoke with a woman.  She said that on June 6, 2019, while her vehicle was at the Brown County Courthouse, her tire was damaged.  A report was taken.

On July 11, 2019 a deputy took a report of Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.  A woman said she let a man borrow her vehicle but he would not bring it back.  Information was gathered and a report was made.
