Brownwood News – Black smoke billowed for a few minutes in south Brownwood Friday afternoon.

The Brownwood Fire Department responded to Wright Asphalt Products at 1505 Custer Road in Brownwood.

The asphalt product that produced the smoke was snuffed out quickly and fire crews were at the scene only a few minutes.  There did not appear to be major damage.  This all happened between 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm Friday afternoon.
