Brownwood News – Brownwood Fire Chief, Eddy Wood, has accepted the Division Chief position with the City of Saginaw Fire Department.  According to a news release from the City of Brownwood Tuesday evening, Chief Wood served as Brownwood Fire Chief and Emergency Management Coordinator for just over two years.  “Chief Wood has brought great progress to our Fire Department, and will be missed,” said City Manager Emily Crawford.  Chief Wood complimented the department and the many community partnerships.  “I look forward to locating closer to my family, and have enjoyed my time in Brownwood.  The members of the Brownwood Fire Department have embraced the positive change and are committed to providing exceptional customer service,” Wood said.  Chief Wood’s last day with the City of Brownwood is July 17th.  A farewell reception will be held at 3:00 pm on July 16th at Central Fire Station.
