Brownwood News – Brown County Judge, Dr. Paul Lilly, and David Creed, Brown County Emergency Management Coordinator, will attend a meeting at the White House in Washington, D.C. next week.  The Comanche County Judge will also attend.   The official press release from the County Judge’s office is below.

THE OFFICE OF THE BROWN COUNTY JUDGE is excited to announce that on Tuesday, June 25, the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs will host the second of 10 regional State Leadership Day events with local elected officials from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. The Office of Intergovernmental Affairs is responsible for building relationships with state, county, local, and tribal officials. Judge Lilly has been invited to this conference at the White House and will attend, as will Judge Davis of Comanche County.

Judge Lilly is excited to represent the citizens of Brown County at this meeting. FEMA and grant funding have been added to the main agenda items of drug enforcement legislation and general local governmental affairs. Therefore, Mr. David Creed, the Brown County Emergency Management Coordinator will also attend. The citizens of Brown County will incur no expense for this travel as both gentlemen are paying their own travel, lodging and all related costs.

“I’m honored to be invited to participate in this conference and to help the residents of Brown County be heard. I will deliver a summary of the conference upon return home”. Judge Lilly will return to Brownwood and resume his duties on June 27.
