Busy Weekend for Brownwood PD – Numerous Arrests Made

Brownwood News – Some of the recent calls for service, answered by officers of the Brownwood Police Department, are shown below:

A Criminal Mischief Investigation – On June 12, 2019, at approximately 1253 hours, Officer  was dispatched to the area of Vincent Street and ldlewild in reference to a subject having soda thrown onto their vehicle.

On June 14, 2019, an Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd in reference to a hit and run. A Duty on Striking Unattended Vehicle report was generated.

On 6/14/2019, Brownwood Police responded to a north side business, in the 200 block of East Commerce, in reference to a reckless driver. A female was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated – 2nd.

On 6/15/2019 Brownwood Police responded to the parking lot of a north side business, 400 block of East Commerce, in reference to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. A male was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

On Saturday, June 15, 2019, officers of the Brownwood Police Department answered a call on a suspicious person at Southside and Willis. Upon arrival officers located the suspicious person. During the investigation it was discovered that the male subject was in possession of meth. The subject was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone.  A report was generated and completed.

On Saturday, June 15, 2019, at approximately 1446 hours, three PD Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood business, 400 block of East Commerce, regarding two simultaneous thefts that were detained at the same time. An investigation and two arrests were made.

On Saturday, June 15, 2019, at approximately 1441 Hrs, Officers responded to a local business, 400 block of East Commerce, in reference to a Theft and an uncooperative male, two (2) separate calls. During this incident an officer handled the issue with the female shop lifter.  The officer had personal knowledge that the female had an active Criminal Trespass for the business. The female was placed under arrest for the Criminal Trespass and also charged with Theft< $100. A report was generated and completed.

On 6-15-19, at approximately 1919 hrs, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to 1600 block of Ave J in reference to an unwanted person. This call led to the arrest for the offense of Assault with Injury Family Violence. A report was generated.

On June 15th, 2019, at approximately 2300 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Phillips Blvd in reference to a disturbance. After an investigation one suspect was arrested for Assault Family Violence – Strangulation, Interference with an Emergency Telephone call and Unlawful restraint.

On Sunday, June 16, 2019, at approximately 1311 hours, three Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address, in the 1800 block of 7th Street, regarding a domestic disturbance.  Upon arrival an investigation and an arrest was made.
