Brownwood News – The Brownwood Art Association presents their 1st Thursday Opening Exhibit for the month of June featuring Margaret Hodgson.

Margaret has been drawing, painting and snapping photos since her childhood on the Gulf Coast of Texas. After studying art at Abilene Christian University, she lived, for many years, in Upstate New York where her love of the land, sky, and sea intensified.  Landscape became her dominant expression. Since moving to Texas, she has not only explored and painted the abundant beauty of her southwestern surroundings, but also has found joy in photography while traveling North America and Europe. Margaret lives and works in Lubbock, Texas, and is a plein air painting instructor at the Garden and Arts Center in Lubbock, Texas. With such a diverse background of interest including acrylics, oils, and even photography, she is sure to shine under the Brownwood Art Center lights!
