Early City Council Agenda for May 14th Meeting

Brownwood News – The Early City Council will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in the Council Chambers inside Early City Hall located at 960 Early Boulevard to discuss items listed on the posted agenda.

A. Call to order, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance

B. Consideration of the minutes of special meeting held on May 3, 2019.

C. Canvass election returns from May 4, 2019 General Election

D. Special presentation and recognition for outgoing Council member Joel Johnson.

E. Administer Oath of Office to Mayor and two Council members.

F. Citizen’s comments. (Citizens are invited to speak to the Council on any topic not already on the agenda. No Council action may be taken)

G. Proclamation – PublicWorks Week

H. Reports (No Council action may be taken)
1. Administrator’s Report.

I. Matters of New Business
1. Administer Oath of Office and Law Enforcement Oath to new Police Officer Gerardo Ibarra. By: David Mercer
2. Consider electing a Council member as Mayor Pro-Tem. By: Mayor Mangrum
3. Consider re-appointing Lee Haney as Municipal Judge for a two year term ending May 2021. By: Mayor Mangrum
4. Consider re-appointing Sandra Garcia to serve as Deputy Municipal Court Clerk for a two year term ending May 2021. By: Mayor Mangrum
5. Consideration to approve Resolution 2019-R04, in denial of Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC’s application for approval to amend its distribution cost recovery factor to increase distribution rates with the city. By: Tony Aaron
6. Presentation of upcoming development by Haydn Cutler Company at 113 Early Blvd. By: Tony Aaron

J. Executive Session in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Section 551.087, Economic Development.

K. Reconvene into Open Session and consider action, if any, on items discussed in Executive Session.
