BROWNWOOD POLICE REPORTS: May 13, 2019

Brownwood News – Brownwood Police Department reports released Monday, May 13, 2019. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY MEMBER – On 05/06/2019, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a north Brownwood address in regards to a male and female fighting in a vehicle, which resulted in the arrest of the male for local active warrant and a report being generated for assault family violence.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER – On May 10, 2019 at 12:47 PM, A Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the Brownwood Fire Department in reference to a possible domestic disturbance. The female victim had driven to the fire station for assistance. This call led to the arrest of a male subject for Violation of a Protective Order. The male was transported to the Brown County jail without incident.

UNRESTRAINED DOG/CAT – On Friday, May 10, 2019, S. Lopez  was dispatched to the intersection of Waco St and Walnut Ave in reference to a dog at large. The complainant advised the dog had tried to attack a lady. The owner of the dog was located at 1802 Waco St and a citation was issued.

ANIMAL CRUELTY – On Friday, May 10, 2019 I, S. Lopez was dispatched to 1910 Ave E in reference to animal cruelty. The complainant advised there were dogs that appeared to be starving. Contact was made with the owner and he was given the option to take the dogs to a veterinarian or owner surrender the dogs to the Corinne T Smith Animal Shelter. Later in the evening one of the dogs that had been chained in the backyard of 1910 Ave E was found running loose near the Animal Shelter. A report was generated based on the information that was gathered from this incident.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – On Friday May 10, 2019, Officers responded to 1400 Austin Avenue in reference to a male subject hitting another male’s car. After speaking with all parties involved a male subject was taken to jail for criminal mischief.

INDECENT EXPOSURE – On 05/10/19, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a north Brownwood in regards to a trespassing incident, which resulted in a report being generated for indecent exposure.

POSS CS PG 1 < 1 G – On Saturday May 11, 2019, Officers responded to 2300 Magnolia Street in reference to drugs or narcotics located. After speaking to all involved parties a male subject was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and transported to Brown County Jail.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – On Saturday, May 11, 2019, at approximately 1:50 PM Officers of the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to a South Brownwood residence in regards to a reckless driver. An investigation and report were completed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF >=$750<$2500 – On Saturday May 11, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of North Fisk Ave for a report of criminal mischief. Information was gathered at the scene and a report was generated.

ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY MEMBER – On 05/12/19 Brownwood PD was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in regards to an argument that occurred between a male and female, which resulted in a report for assault family violence being generated.

ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY MEMBER, FAILURE TO IDENTIFY- FUGITIVE INTENTIONALLY GIVES FALSE INFORMATION – On Sunday, May 12, 2019, Officers responded to 1500 Davis Lane in reference to a domestic dispute. After speaking with all involved parties, a male subject was taken into custody and transported to the Brown County Jail for active warrants and fail to ID.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION – On Sunday, May 12, 2019, Officers responded to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue in reference to a male trying to gain access to residences. After speaking to a male subject located in the area, the male was taken into custody and transported to Brown County Jail for Public Intoxication.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF >=$100<$750 – On 05/12/19, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in regards to broken window at a vacant rent house, which resulted in a report being generated for criminal mischief.

DUTY ON STRIKING UNATTENDED VEHICLE – On 05/12/19, Brownwood PD was dispatch to a north Brownwood business in regards to Hit and run, which resulted in a report being generated.
