BROWN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT: May 13, 2019

Brownwood News – Brown County Sheriff’s report released Monday, May 13, 2019. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Your name and mug shot then will be removed from this site in 3-5 business days.

Man./Del. Cont. Substance PG1, 4<200 G/Drug Free Zone, Poss. Cont. Substance PG2, 4<400 Grams/Drug Free Zone, Assault Causes Bodily Injury Against Public Servant, Poss. Prohibited Weapon /Knuckles, Resist Arrest, Search or Transport, Poss. Marijuana <2 Ounces – On 5/9/2019, at around 1:09 AM, Cpl. Taylor Fletcher, conducted a traffic stop at 1703 Ave. E. This was on a silver Chevy Tahoe being driven by MYKAL MANZANO. MANZANO resisted being removed from the vehicle for search and arrest by rolling the window up on the deputy’s arm. During a probable cause search 6.1 grams of methamphetamine, 14.7 grams of THC edible gummies, 14.0 grams of marijuana, and a set of knuckles were found in the vehicle. MANZANO was charged with possession of the narcotics, knuckles found in the vehicle, in addition to assault public servant, and resisting arrest, search, or transport.

Animal Cruelty – On May 9, 2019, at 08:53 AM, Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched to Navaho Dr. in May, TX. This was in regards to animal cruelty. Upon arrival the complainant said an UNKNOWN person had killed his dog. A report was taken.

Possession of CS PG 1 <1gram, Driving While License Invalid-Previous Convictions – On 5/9/19, at approximately 12:21 PM, Deputy Hopson, observed a 2007 Jeep displaying expired registration. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 3800 block of S US 377. The deputy made contact with JODIE GRIFFIN (W/F) and KRYSTAL DOTSON (W/F). GRIFFIN was subsequently arrested for Possession of CS PG 1 <1 gram and DOTSON was subsequently arrested for Driving While License Invalid. Both were transported to the Brown County Jail where they were released to jail staff.

Assault FV – On Friday, May 10, 2019, at 11:00 AM, Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was contacted by Brownwood Police Officer Colby Adams about an assault, which occurred in the county. Officer Adams advised, while he was on a harassment call at Magnolia St in Brownwood, TX, the victim told him she had been assaulted. Upon arrival, Bastardo met with the victim who said she had been assaulted by a named suspect. A report was taken.

Driving While Intoxicated – On 05/11/2019, Deputy Mason Fabbiani performed a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Early Blvd and CR 381. This was for Failure to Maintain Single Lane. After investigation, it was determined the driver, DAKOTA LOBSTEIN WILLIS, was intoxicated to the degree he could not operate a motor vehicle safely. DAKOTA was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated and brought to the Brown County Jail.

Assault Causes Bodily Injury – On 5-11-2019, at about 12:15 PM, Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at the Brown County Jail, located at 1050 W Commerce in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to an inmate on inmate assault. The deputy spoke to Jailer Robert Wallace (Witness), who stated DALTON BLAKE CROSBY (Suspect) had assaulted Alexander Joseph Orgeron (Victim) after a verbal argument over the TV.

Assault-Family Violence – On Saturday, May 11, 2019, at approximately 2:26 PM, Deputy Scotty Burke, was dispatched to a local address. This was in reference to an assault-family violence report and investigation.  Deputy Burke met with the victim, who stated her father had hit her in the face at an address in the county.  The report will follow.
