BROWNWOOD POLICE REPORTS: May 7, 2019

Brownwood News – Brownwood Police Department reports released Tuesday, May 7, 2019. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Your name and mug shot then will be removed from this site in 3-5 business days.

EXPLOITATION OF CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLED – On Friday, April 26, 2019, Officers of the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to contact a Brownwood resident by phone in regards to being scammed out of money. An investigation and a report was completed.

EVADING ARREST DET W/PREV CONVICTION – On 4/30/2019 at approximately 5:59 AM, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of 7th Street for a call of harassment. Officers made contact with the suspect. Officers arrested the suspect for evading arrest or detention.

THEFT PROP <$100 – On Friday, May 03, 2019, at approximately 8:07 AM, an officer was dispatched to a North Brownwood business in reference to a Theft. Upon my arrival, the officer met with the owner of the business who advised that on Thursday, May 02, 2019, a black male had come in the store and stolen a carton of cigarettes. The owner told the officer that he did wish to file charges if  the suspect could be identified.

DRIVING W/LIC INVALID W/PREV CONV/SUSP/W/O FIN RES – On Friday, May 03, 2019 at approximately 3:35 PM, Officer Risdon  was traveling north in the 300 block of Main St. The officer observed a white minivan that was not displaying a registration insignia. A traffic stop and an arrest was made.

INTERFER W/ EMERGENCY REQ FOR ASSISTANCE – On Saturday, May 04, 2019 at approximately 8:50 AM, Officer Risdon and Corporal Chrisman were dispatched to a south Brownwood address, regarding a Domestic Disturbance. Upon arrival an investigation and an arrest was made.

THEFT PROP >=$100<$750 – On Saturday, May 04, 2019 at approximately 1:33 PM, Officer Risdon was dispatched to a south Brownwood address regarding a theft of a motor vehicle that happened earlier in the day. Upon arrival an investigation and a report was completed.

BURGLARY OF VEHICLE – On Sunday, May 5, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood residence for a burglary of a vehicle report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

THEFT PROP <$100 – On Sunday, May 05, 2019 at approximately 3:58 PM, Officer Risdon was dispatched to a north Brownwood business regarding a theft. Upon arrival an investigation and a report was completed.

DUTY ON STRIKING UNATTENDED VEHICLE- On May 5, 2019 Brownwood Police Department was dispatched to the 1600 block of Hawkins, in reference to a hit and run. An Officer spoke with the Victim/Complainant. A report was generated for Duty on Striking Unattended Vehicle, Class B Misdemeanor.

AGG ROBBERY – On 05/07/2019, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a north Brownwood address in regards to two men fighting outside of a residence, which resulted in the arrest of one male and a report being generated for aggravated robbery.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY FIGHTING – On Monday, May 6, 2019, at approximately 8:03 PM, Officers of the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to a North Brownwood public park in regards to an assault. An investigation was complete. One subject was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center by EMS. A report was completed.
