Phillip “Stretch” Westerman, 60, passed from this life Saturday, April 20, 2019.

Phillip was born on April 14, 1959 to Okla and Virginia Westerman in Brownwood, TX.  He attended Brownwood Schools and worked as a painter and a drywall man most of his days.  Phillip is a life-long resident of Brownwood.  He never married or had children of his own.  He was known as Uncle Boop to all of his nieces and nephews who loved him very much. Phillip liked to fish, play dominoes and listen to music just hanging out with friends and family.

Phillip is survived by his brother, Fred and wife Cindy Westerman of Brownwood, Larry Westerman of Brownwood; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews & many friends.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmore “Moe” Westerman; sisters, JoAnn “Sister” Cunningham, Grace “Baby Grace” Gilbert, and Carolyn “Tar” McAlister.

A graveside service will be held at Jenkins Springs Cemetery, Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
