Ramon Dela Rosa Cardena

Ramon Dela Rosa Cardenas was born in Coleman, TX on April 4, 1950 to Aristeo and Herminia Cardenas.

He went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2019. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his beloved wife by his side.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Elva Cardenas of Brownwood, sons, A.R Cardenas and wife Celeste Cardenas of Brownwood, Ricardo Cardenas and wife Tamra Cardenas of Krum, and Rafe Cardenas of Ft Worth. Grandchildren Christopher Maybary and Devon Maybary of Moore, OK, Tristen Cardenas of Kennesaw, GA, Nicholas Cardenas and Olivia Cardenas of Krum, TX, Camden Cardenas of Brownwood, TX, Mother Herminia Cardenas of Brownwood, TX, Reyes Cardenas and wife Maria Cardenas of Arlington, TX, Yolanda Bernal and husband Jesse Bernal of Brownwood, TX, Rudy Cardenas and wife Sandy Cardenas of Fort Worth, TX, Josie Contreras and husband Gilbert Contreras of Early, TX.

He is preceded in death by his Father Aristeo Cardenas, Sister Margie Perez, Nephew Jesus Bernal, Niece Angelica Cardenas.

He retired from Oncor after over 40 years of dedicated service. He had a love of baseball and was passionate about coaching and teaching the next generation. He loved to work on projects in his garage. His time spent with his grandchildren was some of his most beloved memories. He was a man of few words but he always made his thoughts known and as stoic as they come. Those that knew him best will remember him as a man devoted to his family, a coach, and a friend.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Davis Morris Funeral Home on April 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Brownwood, TX. A family gathering will follow at the 3M Club House located at 4501 US-377 Brownwood, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Brownwood Youth Sports Association in his honor. Donations can be made at Citizens National Bank.
