Brownwood Middle School Inducts 46 New National Junior Honor Society Members

Brownwood News – On Tuesday, March 26, Brownwood Middle School held an induction ceremony for new members of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). A total of 12 new 8th grade members and 34 new 7th grade members were inducted during the ceremony which featured guest speaker, Mr. Gene Deason.

The ceremony was called to order by BMS student and NJHS Chapter President, Andrew Boren. BMS Teacher and Chapter Advisor, Terry Cantwell introduced the criteria for selection, which was further explained by current BMS NJHS members, Shyli Winstead (Chapter Secretary), Emma Carroll (Chapter Vice President), Danaya Morton (Chapter Treasurer), Lindsey Bowden, and Liam McNeese. The criteria by which National Junior Honor Society members are selected includes encouraging and maintaining high standards in scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship and character.

Listed below are the BMS students that were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society during the ceremony:

8th Grade

Bailey Burkett, Ysairis Estrada, Caleigh Felts, Addie Hart, Paisley Johnson, Cletus Miller, Madison Pyle, Jazmine Rivas, Jevvyn Sanchez, Addison Strickland, Jadie Sudderth, Jackson Yoder

7th Grade

Blake Biasiolli, McKenna Blethen, Gavin Brandstetter, Miracle Calvin, Emma Delgado, Mia Diaz, Sam Donathan, Mason Esquivel, Evan Fraze, Jasmine Gibbs, Emma Hall, Alleson Jameson, Sir Jones, Trinity Jones, Elijah King, Reagan Kittrell, Kylee Land, Xavier Lopez, Logan McKibben, Jordan Northcutt, Molly Oliver, Morgan Phipps, River Prado, Allison Riggs, Emma Ringer, Olivia Ringer, Marisol Rodriguez, Sloan Rodriguez, Emma Stegemoller, Sydney Stewart, Megan Terrill, Justin Valdez, Savannah Wade, Kamryn Williams
