Brownwood News – Dr. Daniel Stewart, Chairman BRMC Board of Trustees and Beryl Ramsey, President Division II Operations is pleased to announce that Jace Jones has accepted the position of permanent CEO at Brownwood Regional Medical Center, effective April 8, 2019. Jace comes to us with more than eight years of healthcare management experience in Texas hospitals and practices.

[adrotate group=”8″]

Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at CHS-affiliated Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene. As COO, he was an integral part of the leadership team, overseeing the operations of service lines including radiology, laboratory and physical therapy, in addition to plant operations, food and nutrition, physician practices, and physician recruitment. Prior to his tenure in Abilene, Jace served as Assistant Administrator at CHS-affiliated DeTar Healthcare in Victoria, where he managed primary care physician practices and coordinated hospital service line development for inpatient and outpatient lab and radiology services. He began working in health care as a Practice Administrator in his hometown of Bryan where he subsequently served as Quality and Compliance Coordinator at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

He obtained his bachelor’s degree in history/government at UT Austin, his master’s degree in public health, health management and policy from Texas A&M in College Station, and doctorate in public health from the University of North Texas in Fort Worth.

Jace has a personal connection to the Brownwood area, having spent many summers here with his grandmother who grew up in Mills County and attended Howard Payne University. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He and his wife Julie, a Physician Assistant, and their two daughters, Emorie and Kenzie (ages 10 and 9), are looking forward to settling down in Brownwood.

We commend the administration, employees and medical staff of Brownwood Regional Medical Center for the teamwork that you have exhibited during the transition. We are confident that you have an exciting future ahead under Jace’s leadership.
