A graveside service for Polly Ann Parr, age 81, of Austin, Texas formerly Roswell, New Mexico and Lake Brownwood, Texas will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.  The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Polly Ann was born April 15, 1937 in Wellman, Texas to Tom and Alpine Emerson and was a 1955 graduate of Roswell High School.  She married Kenneth Parr in Roswell, New Mexico on August 8, 1964 and worked as a bookkeeper/accountant for Martin and Greenwade and then later for Hannifin Oil Company in Roswell. After retirement in 1989 Polly and Kenneth moved to North Lake Brownwood.  In 2014 she moved to Austin to be with her daughter Tammera Parr-Lamb and husband Dean Lamb.  Polly enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved cat Calamity Jane.  She was an avid reader, loved working crosswords and jigsaw puzzles.   Mrs. Parr passed away peacefully on Thursday in Austin at Christopher House, a beautiful and serene hospice facility, after a battle with cancer at the age of eighty one.

Survivors include her daughter Tammera Parr-Lamb and husband Dean of Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Bill Emerson.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice Austin or Austin Pets Alive.

Online condolences may be left for the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net

Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
