Sandra Yvonne Yocham Smith Miller was surrounded by her family as she passed from this Earth into her heavenly life on January 30, 2019.  Sandra was born on March 4, 1940 in Brownwood, TX. She was the daughter of James and Elsie Gober Smith and JW and Ollie Yocham. Sandra was a member of South Side Baptist Church in Abilene, TX since 1976.

She grew up in and around Brown County and Odessa, TX, and graduated from Odessa High School. It was in Odessa where she met the love of her life, Floyd Wayne Miller. They were married on April 2, 1960 for 56 years until his passing in January 2017.

Sandra grew up in the rodeo atmosphere with her brothers, so she loved barrel racing and the rodeo. She and her brother, James, were avid TV watchers of bull riding and called each other during the show to watch together. Sandra also loved collecting rocks, any type of painting, and making jewelry. However, her true passion was family especially her daughters and grandchildren.  Sandra grew up with a strong sense of family, family togetherness, and family traditions. She was close to her 26 first cousins. Sandra had two brothers, James and Jerry, and three sisters, Loretta, Joetta, and Pam. She truly enjoyed sharing her interests and life with all of them.

Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, both sets of parents, both brothers, and two of her sisters as well as 8 of her first cousins. She is survived by her two daughters: Michelle and Terry Loyd of Coleman, TX; Melissa and Scotty Davis of Brownwood, TX; her grandchildren: Michael and Amy Loyd, Stephen and Tiffany Loyd, Codi and Kevin Bruner, Jessi Loyd, Kelly Loyd, and Mark Loyd; her great grandchildren: Michaela Loyd, Sabrina Loyd, Ryan Bruner, and Marian Loyd; her sister: Pam and Jim Parker; her sister-in-law: Phyllis Godwin; and her first cousins who were special friends Ann Brazzel and Sue West along with 14 first cousins.

Funeral services for Sandra will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time.
