 George D. Wheatley of Santa Anna, Texas, at the age of 94 years passed from this life on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.          Services will be Monday at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kathy Monroe officiating.  Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery, arrangements under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 6:00 till 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.               He was born George Daniel Wheatley on January 20, 1924 in Shields, Texas to Daniel Price and Mary Elizabeth Stewardson Wheatley.  George was raised in Santa Anna where he was a 1943 graduate of Santa Anna High School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.          As a member of the United States Navy George served his country during World War II in the Battle of Okinawa and in Japan at the end of the war.  On August 5, 1950 George married the love of his life Billie Joy McFarlin in Whon, Texas and they have celebrated 68 years of marriage.           George was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the DAV and VFW.  His life’s chosen profession was in farming and ranching. SURVIVORSWife – Billie Wheatley of Santa Anna, TexasSon – Danny and wife Debbie Wheatley of Santa Anna, TexasGrandson – Chris Wheatley of Santa Anna, Texas George was preceded in death by his Son Jimmy Wheatley
