Mary Trinidad Sanchez, 73, of Brownwood, TX went to be with her lord on January 15, 2019.

Mary was born to Juan Jose and Maria Jesus Urteaga on August 31, 1945 in Menard, Texas.  Mary married Santos Garza Sanchez Sr. in January of 1984.  She was a blessed woman who raised 10 children and worked as a homemaker.  Her family remembers her as the backbone of the whole family, “La Jeffa”.  Her house was the place where everyone wanted to gather on Sundays.  Mary worked for a florist and loved working in her own garden.  She enjoyed music and loved to dance.  She attended church at the Milton Ave. Baptist Church, same church that she and Santos were married in.

Mary is survived by her sons, Johnny Tijerina, Santos Sanchez Jr., Peter and his wife Juanita Sanchez; daughters, Margie and her husband Robert Marley, Bonnie Urteaga Tijerina, Connie and husband Ralph Vasquez, Linda Espinosa, Rosemary and husband Armando Arriaga, Teresa Sanchez and Rogelio Perez, Dina and husband Daniel Espinosa & Judy Sanchez and Victor Gutierrez; brothers, Santiago Urteaga & Ralph Urteaga; 23 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren & several nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved Santos Sanchez Sr.; her parents; son, Saul Sanchez; sisters Barbara Hernandez & Linda Blea.

A visitation will be held at Heartland Funeral Home, Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 6 – 8 PM, and a Funeral Service will be held at Heartland Funeral Chapel, Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10 AM with interment following at Greenleaf Cemetery.
