Bob Contreras to speak at Pecan Valley Republican Women’s Club January Meeting

BrownwoodNews – The Pecan Valley Republican Women invites you to join them on Thursday January 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Texas State Technical College, 305 Booker St., Brownwood TX (entrance at the back of the building).

Bob Contreras recently hired by Judge Lilly as Grant Manager and Government Relations will be the guest speaker.  Bob Contreras will be speaking on Judge Lilly’s vision in regards to goals on special projects he will be working on implementing.  Contreras will be sharing his role in assisting Judge Lilly to accomplish these goals with funding from grants and other funding resources excluding taxes from Brown County residents.  

Bob Contreras is married to his childhood sweetheart, Teresa. They have three grown children and five grandchildren. He is a veteran of 21 years active army service, four years teaching in public education, and 17+ years with correctional education. He earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Angelo State University, as well as post graduate certification. He has served as a military leader, teacher, principal and superintendent. He has served as President of the San Angelo Area Council PTA, Secretary of the Board- Education Service Center Region 15, Chaplain of American Legion Post 307 and currently, as board President of CASA in the Heart of Texas. He and Teresa have lived in Brownwood more than 20 years and consider it home.

We are honored to have Linda Kinsey, Texas Republican County Chairmen for Comanche County install the 2019 Officers for the Pecan Valley Republican Women’s Club.  The new officers include Rebecca Mendoza (President), Deby Holmburg (Vice President), Sue Jayne (Treasurer), Marie Reed (Recording Secretary), and Naomi Flores (Correspondence Secretary).  

Light refreshments will be served and you do not have to be a member to attend.
