Brownwood News – Brownwood Police Department reports released Monday, November 26, 2018. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Wednesday, November 21

  • At approximately 8:03 a.m. Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood address regarding a domestic disturbance in progress. An investigation and an arrest was made.
  • At approximately 2:08 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a north Brownwood business regarding a theft. Upon arrival, an investigation and a report was completed.
  • At approximately 2:33 p.m. a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Dr in reference to a domestic disturbance report. A report has been generated.
  • Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood residence for a theft report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.
  • At approximately 7:00 p.m. Brownwood Police officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane for a reckless driver call. Police officers made contact with the driver and made an arrest for driving while intoxicated.
  • at approximately 7:30 p.m. Officers with the Brownwood Police Department were dispatched to a South Brownwood intersection in reference to a motor vehicle collision. An accident report and an incident report was completed.

Thursday, November 22

  • A Brownwood Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for Failing to Turn Right into the closest lane of travel. The driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Class B Misdemeanor.
  • At approximately 2:00 a.m. a Brownwood Police officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Vincent St for a domestic disturbance. Officers determined an offense of domestic violence had occurred and one suspect was taken into custody.
  • At approximately 5:34 a.m. a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of H St in reference to a theft of a motor vehicle. A report has been generated.
  • At approximately 6:26 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of Coggin Ave in reference to an assault. After arriving on scene and speaking with the involved parties, an arrest was made and a report has been generated.

Friday, November 23

  • At approximately 8:41 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Brady Avenue in reference to a suspicious person trying to get into a church. Subject was later arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.
  • At 1:00 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1300 Blk. of Ave. E in reference to a violation of a protective order. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.
  • Officers Initiated a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Belmeade St. The driver of the vehicle was found to be driving while license invalid with previous conviction, arrested, and transported to Brown County Jail.
  • At approximately 2:20 p.m. an officer was informed by dispatch about a subject needing a phone call from an officer in reference to lost property. Upon making contact with the reporting party, a report for burglary of a motor vehicle was generated.
  • At 8:35 p.m. a Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to 2100 Blk of Slayden Street in reference to a possible domestic disturbance. One subject was arrest for assault.
  • At 11:29 p.m. Brownwood police officers were dispatched to 200 Blk E. Commerce in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. The driver was located and arrested for Driving while Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana.
  • Between the dates of November 16, 2018 and November 21, 2018 an Acatel cell phone was stolen from the 1600 block of Borden St. The investigation is still ongoing.
