Emmett Eugene Payne

Emmett Eugene Payne passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the age of 80. Funeral Services will be held Saturday November 24, 2018 at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church in Coleman.   Visitation will be held at the Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ Friday November 23, 2018 from 6-8pm

Emmett was born on November 4, 1938 to the parents of Obey and Blanche Payne.  Emmett graduated in 1958 from Humphrey High School. Emmett was a member of AME Methodist Church.

Emmett leaves to cherish his loving memory a devoted family:

His wife, Mary Ann Payne; Two daughters:  Doris Larkin (Tommy); Kimala Edward (Donnie). Grandchildren: Charlene Randolph, Na’Talya Payne, Bridgette Hester, Manuel Valles Jr., Courtney Larkin. Great-grandchildren: Brijonae Morris, Samara Padgitt, Carmella Kincaid, Sierra Brown, Aiyana Payne, Marley Randolph and Carson Larkin.

Emmett also leaves behind his sisters and brothers:  Joe Alice Payne, Cherry Ann Jackson, Charlie Payne, Joe Albert, Ernest Jackson, Allen Jackson.

He was preceded in death by Son: Alonzo Payne.  Grandchild: Emmett Lavell Brown, and  Sisters: Allene Jones and Joy Benjamin.  Services entrusted to Brownwood Funeral Home.  Online Condolences may be made at www.brownwoodfuneralhome.net
