Brownwood News – The Early City Council will meet at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, in the Council Chambers inside Early City Hall located at 960 Early Boulevard to discuss items listed on the posted agenda.

AGENDA

A. Call to order, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance

B. Consideration of the minutes of regular meeting held on September 11, 2018 and special called meeting held on September 17, 2018.

C. Citizen’s comments. (Citizens are invited to speak to the Council on any topic not already on the agenda. No Council action may be taken)

D. Proclamation – Brownwood Evangelism Center’s 70th Anniversary

E. Reports (No Council action may be taken)

1. Administrator’s Report.

F. Matters of New Business

1. “Protect the Protector” presentation by Mike Hall of State Farm.

2. Consideration to accept donation to Early First Responders from State Farm and the Protect the Protector program. By: Tony Aaron

3. Consider appointing two (2) board members to Planning and Zoning Commission. By: Larry McConn

4. Consideration of a Resolution, 2018-R07, regarding a contract for the purpose of financing a new dump truck. By: Tony Aaron

G. Executive Session in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 551, Texas Government Code,

1. Section 551.072, Deliberation regarding Real Property.

2. Section 551.087, Deliberation regarding Economic Development.

H. Reconvene into Open Session and consider action, if any, on items discussed in Executive Session.

1. Economic Development – Municipal Development grant applications:

a. Consider Resolution 2018-EDR09, on first reading, approving Municipal Development funding request from R4 Parkways Properties. (First reading only, no Council action may be taken)

b. Consider Resolution 2018-EDR10, approving Municipal Development funding request from Ranger College.

c. Consider Resolution 2018-EDR11, on first reading, approving Municipal Development funding request from Double H Mercantile. (First reading only, no Council action may be taken)

I. Announcements

1. October 9th – Rural Commissioner at Texas Department of Transportation, Early, TX

2. October 10th – TSTC Welcome Center, Brownwood, TX > New EMS training simulator

3. October 24th – TMCN Awards Banquet, Abilene, TX

4. October 29th – Early Chamber of Commerce Banquet

5. November 27th – Annual Christmas tree lighting
