Brownwood News – According to a recent release from Governor Greg, Howard Payne University will host the upcoming Governor’s Small Business Workshop in Brownwood.

The Governor’s Small Business Workshop is scheduled for October 18 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Howard Payne University on 1000 Fisk Street.

“Small business owners truly are the backbone of our economy,” said Governor Abbott. “They are the entrepreneurs, the risk takers, the people with a vision and the work ethic to achieve it. Texas is committed to working alongside entrepreneurs and small business owners to ensure they have the knowledge and tools needed to succeed. Working together we will continue to create more jobs and strengthen our economy.”

The workshop will provide an opportunity for small business resource providers, such as business lenders, business-oriented non-profits, and local, regional, state and federal agencies, to connect and build a regional network to assist small businesses in their communities. Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to attend the workshop to receive hands-on assistance from the resource providers and gather the information needed to start and grow their businesses.
