Dale Russell

A graveside funeral service for Dale Russell, age 90, of Early, formerly of Proctor, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the Proctor Cemetery, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 7:00.

Mr. Russell passed from this life on Monday, September 17, 2018, in Early.

Henry Dale Russell was born in Seagraves on October 10, 1927 to William Henry and Aileen (Thorton) Russell.  He married Lila Maye “Bibsy” Russell on December 26, 1945.  Dale worked as a welder and rancher.  He was a longtime resident of Comanche County and a member of the Proctor Baptist Church.

Dale is survived by his children, Kenneth Lynn Russell of Henderson, Gene Russell and wife Shawn of Early, David Wayne Russell of Henderson and Randy Russell and wife Kelli of Cabot, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Becky, Jamey, Steven, Ryan, Jamison, Sarah, Casandra, Brandon and Mark; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Russell of Fort Worth; three sisters, Maxine Heim of Arizona, Gerry Ann Beller of Colorado and Marie Russell of Weinert; a step-brother, Danny Russell of Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bibsy Russell in 1986, an infant daughter, Kathy Ann Russell, a son, Michael Dale Russell, two grandsons, Michael and Kyle Russell, a brother, Hugh Russell and a dear friend, Doris Mae Ross.

The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Early Missions, PO Box 3070, Early, 76803.
