Brownwood News – The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance in identifying a suspect in a recent criminal offense.

On August 20, 2018, around 7:00 p.m. to 7:50 p.m., a victim was traveling north on Hwy 279 in the 22000 block. This is in the Cross Cut area. The victim passed what he described as a late 1960’s to early 1970’s blue and white Ford or Chevrolet pickup traveling south. The driver/occupant of the blue and white pickup threw a beer bottle from the vehicle that impacted the victim’s front windshield, shattering it, and penetrating into the interior of the victim’s pickup, injuring the victim. The description provided by the victim was limited due to the speed of the suspect’s vehicle as it passed.

Anyone with information that could lead to the identification of the suspect’s vehicle and the driver/occupant, is asked to contact Investigator C. Woods at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office at 325-646-5510 ext. 4313.
