Brownwood News – The children in the community of Brownwood and surrounding areas will be looking a lot sharper after Amanda Schwartz, Tina Henry and the crew finishes the 2nd Annual Back to School FREE Haircuts Special on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 9am-4pm at the New Beginnings Church.

Amanda feels that every kid going back to school this week should feel good about their hair. She knows how hard it is for parents to buy new school supplies and clothes for their kids, why should they have to worry about money to give their kids a great haircut as well. Please join them at the New Beginnings Church from 9am until 4pm to witness a truly glimpse of joy on the local children’s faces after they get a fresh new haircut.
History of event:
Amanda started this event last year when she heard a few of her clients were struggling to get new haircuts for their kids who were starting back to school. She discussed with a few other hairstylists if they would like to give a day of free haircuts, first come served basis, no appointments. Luckily one person felt the same passion for the kids as she did, Tina Henry. Together Tina and Amanda cut over 100 haircuts for people who heard of the event through word of mouth. They were grateful to have a sponsor help them by donating their space at the New Beginnings Church.
What to expect this year:
Amanda decided to do the same haircut special and she will have more beautitions and barbers join her and Tina. They plan to do even more haircuts this year based on the Facebook response to their posts. They will have goody baskets to give away to the children as well. Once again they are so grateful for their sponsors, including New beginnings Church for donating their space, to make it all come true.
Time:
 9am-4pm
Cost:
 FREE
Place:
 New Beginnings Church
 1001 Belle Plain Street
