Vivian Doris Davis Powell

Vivian Doris Davis Powell 82 of Brownwood passed away with family by her side at her home Tuesday, August 7, 2018.  Funeral services will be held Saturday August 11, 2018 at 2pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  Visitation will be held Friday 6-8pm also at the church.

Vivian was born September 22, 1935 in Brownwood TX to Son and Bertha Davis.  She received her education from Brownwood schools. Vivian was a caring, loving person who loved her family, but more so she loved the Lord. She was a long time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She loved to play bingo and she loved spending time with her great-grandchildren.

Vivian was preceded in death by Husband Jesse W. Powell, both parent’s; Son and Bertha Davis. Brothers: Billy, Bobby, Gene, and Perry. Sisters: Betty June, Beatrice, Daisy, Virginia and Granddaughter Yanna.

Mrs. Powell leaves behind a loving family who will greatly miss her.  Left to cherish her memories are children; Jodie Miller, La Jon Miller, Ilita Adams and husband Harold McMillion, Draco Miller and wife Sonya all of Brownwood. Sister Joanne Thompson and husband Marion of San Angelo Texas. Her pride and joys, Grandchildren: April and husband Kevin Lawson, Stephanie Miller Brew, Natosha Miller, Charity Adams, Crystal Walker, Tiffany Hunter, Symone Miller, Draco Miller Jr, Mirris Ray, Derrick Mcglothin, Leslie Adams, Dominique Miller, Mckenzie Tilmon, And Jacob Miller.  25 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.  Special thanks to CMS Home Health, Brady Home Health, Girling Home Health, Solaris hospice, and Angel Sterling.
