BRMC Volunteer Group Names JoAnn Goodwin July Volunteer of the Month

Brownwood News – The Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers are pleased to announce the selection of JoAnn Goodwin as the July 2018 BRMC Volunteer of the Month. JoAnn was made aware of her selection during the August 2018 Meeting of the BRMC Volunteer’s Executive Board.

JoAnn Goodwin joined the BRMC Volunteers in May of 2005 and has contributed over 18,375 hours of Volunteer Service to BRMC. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Day Surgery / Out Patient Registration & Interview Desk located at the West Entrance to BRMC. JoAnn is also the Chairperson of the BRMC Summer 2018 Junior Volunteers, a member of the BRMC Volunteers Scholarship Committee, and volunteers at the Surgery Waiting Room & Intensive Care Waiting Room Volunteer Service Desks. She has also served as the District Representative for the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers District 6 since 2010. JoAnn served as the President of the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers during 2017-2018, the President of the BRMC Volunteers in 2011 – 2012, and again in 2015 – 2016. In addition, during her tenure as a BRMC Volunteer, she also served as the Chairperson of the BRMC Volunteers Information Desk located at the front entrance of BRMC and in the BRMC Volunteer Officer positions of Parliamentarian and Vice President in charge of Membership. The Brownwood Regional Medical Center and the BRMC Volunteers thank JoAnn for her many contributions to BRMC.

The BRMC Volunteers are always excited to meet area individuals who are interested in becoming a Volunteer and they are actively soliciting new members. If you have an interest in serving others a minimum of 6 hours per month, BRMC Volunteering will meet your needs. BRMC Volunteer applications may be obtained in the BRMC Gift Shop, at the front entrance information desk, online at http://www.brmc-cares.com or by calling the BRMC Volunteer Office at 325-649-3399 or emailing the BRMC Volunteers at [email protected] and stating that you would like to become a BRMC Volunteer. Those who have an interest in volunteering may also contact Andrea Lee, BRMC Director of Volunteer Services, at 325-649-3392.
