Benito Salazar Jr. 66 of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Brownwood funeral home at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. A reception will be held after the service at 506 Edwards St. Family will receive friends at a visitation Friday, August 3 from 6 to 8 PM at the Brownwood Funeral Home.

Benito was born in Brownwood Texas April 3, 1952 to Benito Salazar Sr. and Aurelia Camacho-Salazar. Benito attended school in Brownwood. As an adult Benito worked jobs including construction and he loved landscaping. Benito loved to be around family and friends and loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memories are sons: Jesus Hernandez and Hilaria of Brownwood, Benito Salazar III and Diane of Brownwood, Arturo Hernandez and Rosie of Mexico, Christopher Salazar and Monica of Brownwood. Siblings: Alicia Rodriguez and Val of Brownwood, Josie Rendon and John of Corpus Christi, Joe Salazar and Alicia of Alice Texas, Enrique Salazar of Brownwood, Porfirio Salazar of Brownwood, and Ray Salazar of Brownwood.  14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Benito was preceded in death by both parents and brother Ramon Salazar.  Online condolences may be made atwww.brownwoodfuneralhome.net
