George “Frank” Franklin Williams

George “Frank” Franklin Williams, age 84, of Brookesmith passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at his residence.

Memorial Services for Frank will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

George Franklin Williams was born on May 5, 1934, to George Hobson and Martha Elizabeth (Weaver) Williams in Columbus, GA.  Frank married the love of his life, Rose Mary Rasmussen, on May 5, 1953, in Santa Rosa, CA.  Frank served in the United States Air Force for 10 years.  After the Air Force, he owned a Richfield Service Station in Santa Rosa, CA for several years.  He then worked for and retired from Lucky Stores as a Retail Clerk.

Frank and Rose Mary moved to Brookesmith in 2005.  They celebrated 65 years of marriage on May 5, 2018.  He enjoyed music, whether singing, dancing or playing musical instruments.  He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and driving his John Deere tractor.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Frank is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Williams of Brookesmith; children, Mary Ann Edwards and husband Kevin of CA, Debi Holcomb of CA, Bill Williams of CA, John Williams and wife Ann of CA, Sandy Green and husband David of Brookesmith; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and brother, Ferrell Williams of CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Martha Williams; sisters, Martha Ann Talley and Virginia Nell Downs; brothers, Jerrell Williams and Jack Williams; and daughter-in-law, Linda Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
