Paul S. Johnson

Paul S. Johnson passed away on Sunday, July 8th, 2018 in Brownwood, Texas.

Paul was born November 8th, 1952 at home in rainy Mesquite, New Mexico to Troy and Louise Johnson.

He married the love of his life, Sue Roberts, on October 22nd, 1977 in Anthony, Texas. They lived the early years of their life together in New Mexico and moved to Texas in August of 1992.

Paul managed a ranch for Cleber Massey for 30 years and was passionate about his job. He was a great friend to many and a cowboy through and through. He loved to ride and work cattle and had many hobbies. He had a constant desire to learn and improve his skill. He loved to work leather, forge, and work with metal and had built many saddles, belts and spurs. Most of all, he loved his family.

Mr. Paul S. Johnson is survived by his wife, Sue Johnson of Santa Anna, Texas; daughter, Ebby Cooper and husband Chad of Brownwood, Texas; daughter, Mackenzie Coyle and husband Brian of Brownwood, Texas; son, Tyson Johnson and wife Jennifer of Santa Anna, Texas; grandchildren, Siena Salas, Phillip Salas, Carson Coyle, Kori Coyle, Sidney Johnson, Harper Johnson and Owen Johnson; sisters, Faye Pritchett, Dody Owens, and Barbara Impellitier; brothers, Joe Johnson and Danny Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and his sister, Elayne Morey.

A memorial for Paul will be held at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas on Saturday, July 14th at 2:00 pm.

Those who so desire may make memorial contributions to the Whon Cemetery or the charity of their choice. Contributions to the Whon Cemetery may be made in Paul’s honor at Santa Anna National Bank in Santa Anna, Texas or mailed to 6732 FM 2633, Santa Anna, Texas 76878.
