Donna Doris Thornal

Funeral services for Donna Doris Thornal, age 64, of Comanche, will held Monday, July 2nd in the Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche chapel.  Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Ms. Thornal passed from this life on Friday, June 29, 2018 at her home.

Donna Doris Thornal was born in Brownwood on August 18, 1953 to Arthur James and True Edna Lorene (Anderson) Thornal. She attended Brownwood schools and later earned her Associate’s Degree in business management.  Donna worked in several retail positions, but her true calling was being a mom to her three daughters and grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed crafts, anything pink, bingo, cards, dominoes, dice, her sisters, whimsical creatures, jewelry and all things brilliant and beautiful.

Donna is survived by her three daughters, Wendy Hibbitts and husband Kenneth, Alicia Erichsen and husband Troy and Caitlin Harwell-Thornal and Brandon Hemphill; a son, Dale Harwell, Jr.; three sisters, Edra Sue Tompkins, Linda Elaine Norwood and Ava Jane Thornal; six grandchildren, Laura Leigh Canterbury and husband Cameron, Derek Wade Barker, Emeri Alyce Moxley, Willow Bralin Hemphill, Kent Riley Erichsen and Kobe Ryan Erichsen; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Cole Canterbury, Lailey Love Canterbury and Teegan Wade Barker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Joe Seranno and Dale Harwell, Sr.; two siblings, Christal Satterwhite and Edward Cooper.
