Jerry Neil Conley

A graveside service for Jerry Neil Conley, age 85, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 18, 2018 at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early.  Mr. Conley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in a Brownwood Nursing Home.  

Jerry was born on November 8, 1932 in Dulin, Texas to William Conley and Irene Conley Gordon. He served in the National Guard from 1948 until 1951.  On February 3, 1951 he married Rita Faye Conley in Brownwood and she preceded him in death in 1995.  He then married Sherlene Cox who also preceded him in death. He was very proud of his indian heritage and was a great provider for his family.   Mr Conley was employed by Vought Aircraft as an Annidizer and retired after more than 30 years of service.  Jerry loved playing games, hunting, fishing and hunting arrowheads.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Irene Adolfson and husband Edward of Fort Worth, Laveta Burch of Brownwood, Sherry Howard of Avalon; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wives Sherlene Cox and Rita Conley, his father William Conley, his mother Irene Gordon, step father Lyle Gordon, brother Edward Conley, sister Bernice Whorton, Sons-in-law Keith Burch and Charlie David Howard. 

Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
