Brownwood News – The Brown County Republican Party will be hosting a Fish Fry for Memorial Day on Monday, May 28th, beginning at noon at the Pat O’Bryan’s Pavilion. The fried catfish dinner will include all the trimmings and will be catered by Cody Rogers with Diamond R Cafe. There is no cost to attend, however donations will be accepted.

The Republican Women’s Clubs have been asked to bring a homemade dessert to be auctioned off at the end of the event. Funds raised will go to help support Brown County Republican Party.

Gold Star Families in attendance will be recognized during the event. Interested attendees are asked to RSVP by Tuesday, May 22nd, by contacting the Brown County Republican Party Chair Robert Porter at 325-646-9586 or 325-642-5383

“This national holiday may also be the unofficial start of the summer season, but we feel all Americans must take a moment to remember the sacrifice of our valiant military service members and their families,” said Naomi Flores with the Brown County Republican Party. “Memorial Day is a day of both celebration and grief, accounting for the honor of our heroes and reflecting on their tragic loss. That is why we will be recognizing Gold Star Families during our event. Invitations will be sent but if you know a Gold Star Family please reach to them and invite them to our Memorial Day Event.”
