Funeral Services for Brenda Sue Clark, age 65, of Rising Star, Texas formerly of Brownwood will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early.  Interment will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery.  Mrs. Clark passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.

Brenda Sue was one of nine children born to Clarence Roosevelt and Artie Mae James Watson. Her and twin sister Linda Sue were born on February 1, 1953 in Willis, Texas.  She grew up and attended her younger school years in Abilene prior to moving to Brownwood. In 2012 Due to her failing health, Brenda moved to Rising Star to live with Linda who would be her caretaker for the past 5 years.  Brenda was a homemaker and family was very important to her.  She loved her grandchildren, sewing, drawing and was an avid collector of everything.  Above all things Brenda loved her Lord Jesus.  Due to her illness and unable to physically attend church Brenda would turn to her Christian television programs.  Even in the midst of her physical pain, she would continually thank God for his goodness. She never lost her faith and many times could be seen or heard praying for others, praising God and listening to praise music. The family wishes to thank Hendrick Medical Center, Comanche County Medical Center and Brownwood Regional Medical Center for their outstanding care.  She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her two daughters Betty Carruth and husband James of Early and Ethel Swick of Brownwood; sisters Linda Sue Harris of Rising Star, Reba Smith and husband Robert of Brownwood, Mary White of Brownwood, Shirley Snyder of Gardendale, Texas, Pat Lanave  and husband Lenny of Mountain View, Missouri, Betty Tillery of Brownwood; one brother Clarence Watson of Cameron, Texas; grandchildren Ashley Price and husband Aaron of Brownwood, Sam Carruth and wife Cassidy of Brownwood and Brenda Buckalew of Mineral Wells. Numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.   Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Clark and one sister Emma Louise Watson.

Online condolences may be left for the family at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net

Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
