Peggie Eilers

Peggie Eilers, age 83, passed from this earth at her home in Odessa and began her life in her eternal home on Monday, April 9, 2018.  She was born August 4, 1934 in Walsenburg, CO to the late Felix and Xanthabell (Ribble) Teeters. She married Leo William Eilers Jr. on March 15, 1952 in Roscoe, TX.

Peggie was a precious daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and loyal friend.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her beloved husband of 66 years: Leo William Eilers Jr.; children: Patsy Eilers Ellis and husband Barry, Betty Sue Eilers Clay and husband Richard, Paula Eilers Houndshell and husband Perry and Larry Don Eilers and wife Monica; sister: Kathy Young and husband M.L.; as well as 8 grandchildren: Matt, Brandy, Christy, Caleb, Amanda, Travis, Amy and Brandon; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son: F. A. Eilers; brothers: Jerl and Bert Teeters Sr. and great-granddaughter: Caitlyn Leigh Cotton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Peggie Eilers to her church: Northlake Community Church, 3131 Harbor Drive May, TX 76857. Special thanks from the family to Dr. Terry Unruh, MD and his staff members Sandra Miller and Crissy Flores of Odessa, TX and to Hospice of Odessa, nurses Lisa and Carrol for their special kind of support and comfort. Extra special thanks to: Pat Sullivan and Mable Thomas, whose help and support is most appreciated and something we could not have done without.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Northlake Community Church at 3131 Harper Drive in May, TX.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and condolences to the family may be sent online at acreswestfuneral.com.
