Funeral services for Patricia Ann Inglet Waddle, age 71, of Brownwood, Texas will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Davis Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darius Johnston officiating. Interment to follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Park, Early, Texas.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening, March 23, 2018 from 6:00PM-8:00PM in the chapel.
Patricia had many names – she was known as Tricia, Pat, and most often referred to as Memaw – even if she wasn’t your grandmother. Pat was born June 19, 1946 in Brownwood and raised in Rising Star, Texas. She graduated from Rising Star High School in 1965 and moved to Brownwood where she lived out the remainder of her life. She had many jobs in the beginning and found her calling when she became a Nurse Aide. She loved taking care of people. She retired from Brownwood Regional Hospital after 22 years of service. She loved people and had a way of making each one feel special. She centered her life around her two girls, Missy and Sherry. They meant everything to her. She could throw the best backyard BBQ’s. She was a great cook of all comfort foods and she loved sharing it with family and friends. She enjoyed working in her yard and watching the hummingbirds. She loved long talks, giving advice, and telling you like it is. She was fiercely protective of those she loved. She was very particular about her hair, her dress, her home, her yard, and her sense of humor – all things that made her who she was and people loved her for it. She gave her life to Christ in May of 2002. She attended the First Baptist Church of Brownwood. She loved a good message and always wanted to hear about the messages others heard and what it meant to them. She loved country music, praise and worship music, and her celebrity crush was always Matthew McConaughey because “alright alright alright” seemed appropriate when things went well for her.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Malisa Blake-Deane and son-in-law DeShawn Deane of Fort Worth; loving grandchildren, Emily and Grayson Blake of Fort Worth, and Colin Walker of Early; a sister and best friend Sue Barnes of Rising Star, and two protective brothers, Mack Inglet and Donald “Bo” Inglet; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish their memories of her.
She is Preceded in Death by: Her parents – Lola Evelyn (Owens) Inglet and Zeddie Van Buren.Inglet, Her siblings – Z. B. Inglet, Jr., Maureen Inglet, Lois Holt, Earlene Inglet, Juanita Crisp, Jeane Ferreira, Annette Milam, Bobby Joe Inglet, Wanda Faye Inglet, her daughter – Sherry Waddle Walker and a host of other family and friends who adored her, loved her, and greeted her when she made her way home to the arms of her Heavenly Father.
