Lease applications now accepted for Brownwood Community Garden Beds

Announcement – The Brownwood Area Community Garden is now accepting applications from the general public to lease garden beds.  Leases include a 3’ X 20’ raised bed with drip irrigation provided, to grow the crops of their choice.

Lease fees:

  • $50 per year, March 2018-Feb. 2019 for the General Public
  • $25 per year, for residents of Brownwood Housing Authority

Applications are available at:

The Garden, located at 1514 Dublin St. in Brownwood, or online at www.brownwoodgarden.net

Applications will be processed as they are received, so apply today to get growing at the Brownwood Area Community Garden!

The Brownwood Area Community Garden is established primarily for the purpose of providing fresh, naturally grown produce to area food pantries to feed the hungry. The Garden’s secondary purpose is to provide space for residents who wish to garden according to natural methods; To provide a venue for education on sustainable gardening practices; And to provide employment and on-the-job training opportunities for low-income workers.
