James Albert Bonser

James Albert Bonser was lifted peacefully into his eternal home on February 18, 2018 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, in Temple.

He was born December 30,1950 in Brownwood. He grew up in Brownwood and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1969. He played Alto Saxophone in band. He was retired from 3M Company.  He lived in Salt Creek community and previously in Bangs.

He is survived by his wife Karen Horton Bonser, a son, James Daniel & (Lisa) Bonser and his step granddaughter CJ and her husband Kane Tsang, his father-in-law Junie Horton and Kim, brother-in-law Dana Horton, wife (Shay) along with sons Tyler, Randy and Travis, brother-in-law David Horton, step-son James Hudspeth, step-daughter Kari (Ryan) Schroeder, also step-granddaughter Samantha Schroeder, step-nephew Cody Horton, sister-in-law Bonnie Sunday, nephew Shawn Massey, niece, Kimberly, (Warren)Grundy, nephew Austin (Kelsey) Grundy, many special friends, cousins and his special dog Bobby.

He was preceded in death by parents Albert A. and Ozelle O. Bonser, grandparents Coral Bonser and Dr. and Mrs. James O. Lane; his late wife, Gail Ford Bonser, brother-in-law Ronnie Ford, mother-in-law Dena Horton and brother-in-law Donny Horton.

James will be interred at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood.  Family and friends will visit 12:30 pm.to 1:30 pm at Heartland Funeral Home prior to the service.
