Harold B. Campbell

Harold B. Campbell, 86, of Brownwood, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, February 5, 2018. A celebration of life, under the directions of Heartland Funeral and Cremations, will be held in the Heartland Chapel 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 with John Campbell officiating. Interment will follow 4:00 P.M. Friday at Christine Cemetery in Christine Texas. The family greeted friends at the funeral home Thursday 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. Harold Bell Campbell was born September 26, 1931, in Abilene TX to Francis Buchanan and Margie (Holbrooks) Campbell. He was the middle of seven children. Harold married Freda Loveta Morrison on May 27, 1961 in Crews, TX. Harold’s education included completing Buckner High School in Dallas, a B.A. of History from University of Corpus Christi, and Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His travels ranged from Abilene, Dallas, Jamaica, Corpus Christi, Ft Worth, to Brownwood. Harold was Pastor in Christine, TX, Sacramento and Mt. Shasta CA, and school teacher in Bangs, TX. Harold enjoyed playing both high school and college football, golfing with his teacher buddies, being a member of the Lions Club, and working as a DECA teacher. He was a Baptist and a member of the Concord Baptist Church.

Harold is survived by son, Jon Marc Campbell of Horseshoe Bay, TX; granddaughter, McKayla Campbell of Marble Falls, TX; brothers, Max, Paul, and George Campbell; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife of 54 years; daughter, Pamela Kay Campbell; brothers, Leo and Charles Campbell; sister, Jo Cottrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the American Cancer Society.
