Brownwood Police Reports: February 5, 2018

Brownwood News – Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, February 5, 2018. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation.

Friday, February 2nd

*1:06 p.m. Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood business for a counterfeiting report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

*5:13 p.m. Brownwood Police Officers responded to 300 block W. Main Street in the parking lot to a report of a hit and run accident. A report was generated and an investigation is being conducted.

Saturday, February 3rd

*12:40 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to a south Brownwood address in reference to the theft of property from a residence. A report was generated and an investigation is being conducted.

*5:23 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Marketplace Boulevard in reference to a  hit and run.

Sunday, February 4th

*1:01 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to a North Brownwood business in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and driver parked with the vehicle running. Officers made contact with the driver who was later placed under arrest.

*1:58 a.m. Brownwood Police officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of San Benito in reference to an intoxicated person asking people for rides. Officers located the subject walking near the intersection of Coleman Avenue and Cordell Street. The subject was found to be highly intoxicated, and was arrested for Public Intoxication and was transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.

*3:34 a.m. Brownwood Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2800 block of Vincent Street for a minor traffic violation. An investigation was conducted which lead to the arrest of suspect for driving while intoxicated with an open container.

*6:57 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 2400 block of Elizabeth Drive in reference to a minor accident. After investigation, subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

*1:07 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Ave B in reference to a report of disorderly conduct. The investigation resulted in the arrest of suspect for Disorderly Conduct.

*2:00 p.m. Brownwood Police Officers were “waved down” in the 1800 block of Houston Street in reference to a burglary. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

*6:47 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce Street in reference to a theft.
