Brownwood News – Multiple local fire and rescue agencies responded to a house fire on Kilarney Drive at Lake Brownwood Tuesday afternoon.

According to Brownwood Fire Chief Eddy Wood, embers from the structure fire did spark some smaller grass fires in the area, but they were able to get them extinguished. Some homes in the area were threatened, but none were damaged.

No injuries were reported at the time of this story’s release. The cause of the fire is unknown at the time, but will be investigated. Brown County is currently under a burn ban.

UPDATE – Two structures were destroyed and another damaged. Two people have been displaced by the fire, there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
