Brownwood News – Early Police Department reports released Thursday, January 18, 2018. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. January 15th

  • Accident – CC Woodson/Early Blvd – EFD responded all parties reported no injuries. Report completed – 1 citation issued
  • Suspicious call – 1000 blk Early Blvd – male subject appeared upset in street. Subject upset over family death – Subject’s pastor arrived
  • Accident – CC Woodson / FM 2525 – EFD/Lifeguard responded – 2 vehicle airbags deployed, Lifeguard transported 1 to ER. 1 citation issued
  • Welfare check – 1000 blk Early Blvd – caller worried male subject was going to hurt himself. Officer made contact with both male and female. Both stated they were getting divorce. Male was getting his stuff and leaving.
  • Prowler – 200 hillcrest drive – caller heard noise outside. Officer checked around house and area. No signs of anyone

January 14th

  • Medical emergency – 400 blk Longhorn Drive – lifeguard transported
  • Animal Complaint – 800 blk Scarlet Drive – located dogs but unable to catch them or locate an owner. Dogs not aggressive
  • Welfare check – 200 blk Hillcrest drive – caller stated male subject is having a nervous breakdown – MHMR contacted and responded.
  • Noise complaint 100 Blk Orchard Dr – caller stated there was loud music and screaming coming from the residence – officer made contact with HPU kids at a house. Warning given to quiet down
  • Traffic stop – vehicle observed weaving in the traffic lane. Vehicle was stopped in the 1300 blk of Early Blvd. The driver stated he just left a party in Hamilton Texas and was headed to Evant Texas. The driver was given a field sobriety test and failed. The driver consented to a blood draw. The driver was then taken to the Brownwood ER for a blood sample then taken to the Brown County jail. David Bolton, of Hamilton, Texas, was arrested and charged with DWI 3rd or more.

January 13th

  • traffic hazard  – 1500 blk Early Blvd –– officer cleared roadway
  • Animal Complaint – 100 Blk Early Blvd – large German shepherd running loose. Officer unable to locate
  • Medical Emergency – 100 blk Northline Drive – EFD and Lifeguard responded. Lifeguard transported
  • Suspicious package – 300 blk early blvd – officer checked it out. Packaged disposed of
  • Accident – CC Woodson / Early Blvd – EFD / Lifeguard responding – 2 vehicles, airbags deployed. 1 injured but refused medical. Report taken – 1 citation issued

January 12th

  • Domestic Disturbance – 800 blk Early Blvd – male caller stated he had been assaulted by his girlfriend with a flashlight. Female locked herself inside the house. Officers got female out of the house. The female, Misty Latham, placed under arrest for Assault family violence.
  • Accident – 200 blk early Blvd – vehicle backed into another vehicle. Minor damage. Report taken.
  • Alarm call – 1000 blk Early Blvd – keyholder contacted – building secure
  • Medical emergency – 100 northline drive – lifeguard transported
  • Alarm call – 1000 blk Early Blvd – building secure – keyholder stated they are having electrical problems
  • Alarm call – 100 blk Early Blvd – building secure – keyholder refuse to respond
