Brownwood News – Thursday morning multiple local fire agencies were dispatched to a multi-structure fire on FM 1176, 12 miles south of Brownwood. Livestock were lost in the blaze, including 10 goats, and over 20 chickens. The fire damaged two barns near a trailer house at the intersection of FM 1176 and FM 586 in Brown County.

The Bangs, Brownwood, Brookesmith, Winchell, Lake Bridge, Dam and Early fire departments were dispatched with tanker trucks as water lines on the property were frozen due to below freezing temperatures overnight and on into Thursday morning.

Several barns and storage structures were damaged in the fire. The cause of the fire is also unknown at the time of this report.
