Brownwood News – Early Police Department reports released Tuesday, January 2, 2018. All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records. If charges are dismissed or the accused is found not guilty, people listed here can contact Brownwood News and provide us with documentation. Your name and mug shot then will be removed from this site in 3-5 business days.

December 31st:

  • Reckless Driver – coming from Brownwood on Commerce – vehicle attempting to slide on ice. Vehicle gone on officer’s arrival
  • Welfare check – 500 Blk Lucus, caller can’t reach her husband by phone. Husband located, was asleep and is fine
  • City ordinance violation-fireworks – 300 Blk Live Oak. Gone on officer’s arrival
  • Alarm Call – 100 Blk Early Blvd – building secure
  • City ordinance violation – Fireworks, 100 blk Orchard Drive – parties advised of city ordinance and given warning to stop
  • Civil Matter – 1300 Blk Early Blvd. caller demanding his money back from a purchase – options provided
  • Civil Matter – 600 Blk Early Blvd – damage done to property by renter – options provided
  • Reckless Driver – Hwy 377 east. vehicle unable to maintain traffic lane – caller called back and stated vehicle turned before arriving in City
  • City Ordinance Violation – Fireworks – 100 blk Salt Creek Drive – Warning given to resident

December 30th:

  • Medical emergency – 2000 Blk Hwy 183 north – lifeguard transported
  • Suspicious – 800 Blk Early Blvd – caller believes someone was trying to get into her motel room, incident occurred last night approx. 730pm. Officer advised caller to call when the incident is happening next time. No report
  • Civil matter – 1000 blk Early Blvd – child custody dispute – options given

December 29th:

  • Welfare Check – Hwy 183 south/CR 318 – possible vehicle accident with a Deer/ no accident. Deer had been hit by another car already gone. Deer still alive but injured. Deer put down
  • Reckless Driver – vehicle coming through Brownwood, unknown location. Officer be on lookout for vehicle. Unable to locate
  • Medical emergency – 200 blk Garmon Drive – lifeguard transporting
  • Suspicious – 100 Blk Garmon – vehicle parked behind church – driver tired. Stopped to rest a minute
  • Disorderly Conduct – 200 Blk Early Blvd – 4 males in store causing problems – subjects left before officer arrival. Checked area unable to locate

December 28th:

  • Medical emergency – 200 eastover drive – lifeguard transporting
  • Burglary of motor vehicle – 100 blk Beverdon drive – report taken

December 27th:

  • abandon vehicle – 100 salt creek drive – driver ran out of gas-officers stayed with vehicle until driver returned
  • Welfare check – 900 blk Early Blvd – on-star emergency button pushed – unable to locate vehicle
  • Burglary of motor vehicle – yucca tree drive – caller reported gun, binoculars and other items stolen from vehicle
