Santos Aguirre, Jr., age 74, of Blanket went to Heaven to be with his Lord December 13, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.  Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be held at a later date.

Santos was born December 25, 1942 in Brady, Texas to Santos Sr. and Aurora (Cordero) Aguirre.  He served his country in the U. S. Army as a combat engineer, and he was a concrete finisher by trade.  Santos loved his family and friends and found pleasure in helping others.  He always had a big smile on his face and loved to tell a joke and make you laugh.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include his children, Irma Gloria Aguirre Costa (Charles), Daniel Aguirre (Jennifer), Sonia Aguirre, Monica Romero, Joey Trevino (Lisa) and Gilbert Trevino (Dora); brothers and sisters Anna Bell Valadez (Joe), Argentina Alvarado (Joe), Aurora Pena, Agnes Irvin, Ada Perez (Johnny), Samuel Aguirre, Amelia Costilla (David), Amalia Saenz and Steve Aguirre (Maria); along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sons Bobby Aguirre and Santos Aguirre and a sister, Angelina Lopez.
